Laser Cut Press Fit Lamp

Bronagh has always had a flair for colour!

She took this talent to a whole new level in creating this press fit laser cut lamp. She started out in Inkscape drawing a simple cube and cutting off the corner. She then proceeded to research and design a stained glass window to be cut out of each side of the cube. Using the laser cutter this was quickly achieved. Now came the tricky part. each piece of acrylic needed to be cut the exact correct size if it were to fit snugly into the frame. Dependant upon the size each peice needed to be resized by between 1-10% to account for the burn of the laser!

The pieces were pressed in and voila! Hey presto an amazing looking press fit lamp.
