About this event

Laser cutting is a technology that uses a high power laser to cut materials, and is typically used for manufacturing applications.  Laser cutting/ etching works by directing the output of a laser onto various materials where, depending on the power used, the surface will be etched, or the material cut all the way through.  The position of the laser is computer controlled, allowing for accurate cutting or etching of digital files. Laser cutters offer high levels of accuracy and replication, and are particularly fast in operation.

If you are curious, or would like to know how a laser cutter might fit in to your current workflow, come along to FabLab Nerve Centre for this introduction session.
